The Chateau, Valbonne, Moulin Noir, Versailles and Portofino collections are general made from a medium grade Mahogany timber, sourced from forests which are all part of regeneration programmes. Some of the larger panels in certain items are made from medium density fibreboard to ensure complete stability in all environments.
The seven-stage finishing programme includes hand sanding, filling, sealing, painting, distressing, antique ageing and final sealing.
Most of the special techniques come from France and Italy and are replicated from the original methods handed down from craftsman to craftsman.
Our carvers are among the most skilled in this field throughout the world and are only allowed to work on our products, if they can consistently reproduce the required quality of carving on a day to day basis.

Chateau

Modelled from authentic antique pieces, Chateau is a unique collection of French provincial style, white painted furniture with many Louis Philippe embellishments. Intricate hand carved details and an individual hand finished, colour and ageing process create a stunning item of furniture to cherish.

Fayence

Another new range, Fayence is fashionable, functional, simplistic in design, ideally suited to trendy minimalist interior themes. A definite grey in colour with a very slight distressing and edge highlights. A modern range for modern living.

Gustavian

A wonderfully authentic and extensive collection, reproduced from genuine 18th Century Scandinavian antique originals. Manufactured in Europe with time-served Craftsmen, using well proven construction techniques and incorporating a seven-stage process of hand finishing to replicate an attractive aged appearance. The Nordic Cream finish is achieved by special paint techniques to produce an elegant 'dragged' look, which compliments the period and satisfies today's demand for designer finishes.

Moulin Noir

Moulin Noir is the definitive French Boudoir collection. Handmade Chateau designs with a unique black painted finish and the use of sumptuous black velvet on chairs, re-creating the fashionable European look that was so prominent in the exclusive first class cabins of the Mississippi steam paddle ships and the new town Saloons during the hedonistic Charleston days of the roaring twenties.

Portofino

A brand new collection, again heavily influences by classical designs. A light grey stone colour, tastefully distressed on highlighted areas with occasional shell and scroll carvings discreetly applied and gorgeous Art Nouveau handles on chests, etc.

Valbonne

Exquisitely crafted by hand the Valbonne range follows the fashionable French theme with a mixture of Louis XIV to Louis XVI influences. An extremely elegant and refined collection with a subtle, deep cream distressed finish, enhancing the style and creating a beautiful, top quality reproductions to sit proudly amongst genuine antiques from the period.

Versailles & Gilt

Versailles is the latest collection from the classical French themes we are so successful with. Made entirely by hand by the top carvers and craftsman from Indonesia, this range is finished in genuine gold leaf, hand applied onto a coating of Gesso and firmly glued and brushed into the contours of the carvings. Real silk and Damask upholstery, marble tops and beautiful attention to detail with the distressing carefully controlled to highlight selected areas, where most natural wear would have occurred.
